T304 is the king of the stainless steels, as it contains the highest amount of chromium and nickel, making it harder and nearly impervious to rust and corrosion. Those made from stainless steel will last longer and resist discoloration better than an aluminized system. Aluminized steel is lightweight and offers good corrosion resistance, but is not as durable as stainless steel. Entry level systems will be made from aluminized steel whereas the higher end systems will be composed of T304 or T409 stainless steel. Systems that use straight-through mufflers are typically the freest flowing and provide the most unadulterated sound however they may not be legal in all states. These high flow systems are tuned to ease backpressure and provide customized sound – ranging from moderately aggressive to full-on snapping-and-popping raucous. Both EcoBoost and 5.0L Coyote S550 owners will appreciate the effects of an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system. Part of the allure of a 2021 Mustang is the sound that bubbles and pops out of the exhaust system. Embracing the original Mustang heritage, Ford has made available a Mach 1 edition – the first such package seen since 2004. These wheels are a newly available part for the GT500, as the Carbon Fiber Track Package features wheels with exposed carbon fiber.Powerful, fast and agile, the 2021 Ford Mustang is the pinnacle muscle car. Basically, it combines the Handling Package's adjustable strut top mounts, oil catch can, front canards and Gurney flap with a new set of 20-inch black-painted carbon fiber wheels. It's called the Carbon Fiber Handling Package, and it slots between the Handling Package and the Carbon Fiber Track Package. One final note, the GT500 is getting another performance package. So if you want one of those old colors, you'd better start looking for leftover 2020 models. The new additions also mark the departure of four previously available colors: Grabber Lime, Kona Blue, Dark Highland Green and Magnetic. The new colors include Grabber Yellow (shown above), Antimatter Blue, Fighter Jet Gray and Carbonized Gray. These used to be part of an option package for the Mustang EcoBoost and GT. This includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights and rain-sensing wipers. All of them get new standard features, and there are a few new colors available.Īs for the safety features, every new Mustang now gets the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite as standard.
